A. Ruth Dunham, 95 years of age, of Adams passed away at the Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams on Friday, May 23, 2014. She was born on April 9, 1919 at Riverton, NE to Rev. Earl and Minnie (Bright) Cochran. Ruth was a graduate of Guide Rock High School in Guide Rock, NE and had lived in Adams for over 45 years. She was a caregiver most of her life for her parents and other Adams area residents, and had worked for Conoco Oil Company. She was a member of the Adams United Methodist Church, and had delivered Meals of Wheels. She enjoyed photography, making book marks, crocheting, dogs, and spending time with her family. Ruth was always known for having "her feet pointed out the door, ready to go!"

Survivors include her sister Edythe Engelman and husband Keith of Boulder, CO; was beloved by her numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters in law Irma Cochran of Kansas City, MO and Donna Cochran of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Earl and Minnie (Bright) Cochran; an infant brother; and by brothers Wayne and Leonard Cochran.
