(In the 1900 Census, Ransom's father Isaac had moved back to Marion, Ozark Co., Missouri where Isaac had founded a community known as Grabeel. Isaac had built a church and laid out a town, but it never fully developed. It did have a church, a school, and a postoffice. Ransom's father Isaac was buried at Noble, Ozark Co., MO, in 1903).

In the 1900 Census, Ransom was in Highland, Oregon, Missouri with his family, worked as a farmer.

In 1905 the family was in Ione, OR. Their young son David L. Grabeel was burried in Highview Cemetery there. The following site lists that there is a memorial for Ransom and Martha as well, but I have had it check out lately and their memorial seems to have been removed.

1917 & 1918 City Directories of Portland, OR, have Ransom listed as a Farmer.

In the 1920 and 1930 Censuses, and until his death on 1 Sept 1937, His residence was Portland, Oregon. 1920, Carpenter, house; 1930 Carpenter, building construction; 1931, carpenter.

The date(for his birth) that I have is March 11, 1959. This is from a copy of his death certificate and information my grandmother (probably from Ransoms bible) collected and gave to all her then grandchildren.
The Kentucky birth records are also a little confusing as some citations show March 11, 1960 while another shows March 11, 1959 which also has a copy of the hand written document which confirms 1959
