Norma Jean Medley, 78, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014. She was born April 6, 1936 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late John Sylvester and Corrine Sutton Fulkerson. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, walking and music.
Aside from her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carl Medley (1997), siblings, Bill Fulkerson, Mary Kennedy, Anna Clements, Douglas Fulkerson and a brother-in-law Bobby Peters.
Surviving are her children, Keith (Tammy) Medley, Juanita (Bill) Jackson, Cathy (John) Hannah and Shelly Hunt; eight grandchildren; siblings, Lola Whitesides, Joan (J.L.) Byrne, Sherry (Sam) Holinde, Larry Fulkerson and Gladys Peters; sister-in-law, Marilyn Fulkerson, and brother-in-law Don Clements.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Ray Goetz officiating and burial to follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with prayers said at 6 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
