Clara Helen Warren, 93, resident of Frost, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Frost Baptist Church with Jason Wilder officiating. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery, Mertens, Texas.

Helen was born in Milford, Texas, to the late Walter W. Crumpton and Mary Elizabeth Dalton Crumpton. She graduated from Milford High School and married Charlie Warren on June 19, 1940. Helen was a member of Frost Baptist Church and was very dedicated to her church by tending to the nursery and serving on several committees. Helen loved gospel music, especially the Gaithers. She enjoyed tending to her garden and canning. She was also known for her pecan pralines. Helen was a professional seamstress and was also the bookkeeper for the company she and her husband owned, Warren Bros. Construction.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Warren; sons, Charles Crumpton Warren and Ronald Douglas Warren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Nita Doherty and husband, Gerald, and Karen Hudson and husband, Jimmy; daughters-in-law, Nell Warren and Vera Warren; grandchildren: Todd Hinkle, Melissa Maass, Tiffany Garland, Pam Bailey, Forrest Warren, Susanne Vanderschee, Brandi Erwerle, Brad Doherty and Zach Warren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Troy Crumpton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
