Sherman (Pete) Blystone, a retired North Apollo steel Worker, died Saturday, November 28, 1936, in his home. He was 70.
Mr. Blystone was employed in the Vandergrift plant of the American Sheet and Tin Plate company before it merged with the Carnegie-Illinois Stell corporation. He was pensioned a number of years ago.
Mr. Blystone suffered a stroke several weeks ago which led to his death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the home with the Rev. E. P. Harper of the Apollo First Methodist Church in charge. Burial followed in the Apollo Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Hannah, and these children:
Charles and Earl, both of North Apollo; Mrs. Ruth Dawson, Oakmont; Leroy, Verona and Clair one brother, J.L. Blystone of Spring Church, also survive.
Mr. Blystone was born in Pennsylvania, May 6, 1866, a son of Henry and Sarah Hoover Blystone. He was a member of the Apollo First Methodist Episcopal Church.
