Mrs. Mildred Louise Shepherd Cash - age 80, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014
Mrs. Cash is survived by three daughters, "E" Corley (Jimmie), Charlotte Smith ( Jon), and Ruth Allen ( Aaron); five sisters, Polly Pope, Margaret Ann Chapman, Joy Jelte, Karen Somers, and Lisa Hammers; six brothers, Ben Shepherd, Roy Shepherd, Ricky Ekes, J.T. Shepherd Jr., Gerald Shepherd, and Stephen Shepherd; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard A. Cash Sr.; her son Bernard A. ( Beau) Cash Jr.; her parents J. T. Shepherd Sr. and Myrtle Jones Griffin; one brother J. W. Shepherd, and one sister Lois Marie Shepherd. Mrs. Cash was retired from nursing. She earned her degree as an RN from South Mississippi Charity Hospital School of Nursing. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed many years with the Order of Juno Mardi Gras Association. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and served as an Extraordinary Minister at St. Pius X Catholic Church, her former parish, and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Chickasaw. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the E. A. Roberts Alzheimers Center and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care they provided to Mrs. Cash.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Saturday March 29 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 11:00 AM.
