Charlotte Grey (Johnston) Robertson, 83, 104 Austin Ave., died Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Gloucester House in Gloucester, VA.

She was born December 1, 1930, in Monterey, VA a daughter of the late Edgar O. and Gertie G. Johnston.

After graduating from Highland High School, she was employed by Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company and retired after 25 years of service. She then was employed by the Federal Government Department of Agriculture/Farmers Home Administration and retired in 1996 after 12 years of service.

She was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church.

Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela R. and Joseph W. Hollis III of Gloucester; a grandson, Jacob A. Hollis; a granddaughter, Melanie B. Hollis, both of Gloucester; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends..

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar O. Johnston, Jr., Harry Robert Johnston, and Elmer L. Johnston.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jamie McClanahan. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, in the funeral home.
