Mrs. Leah Burritt, 84, formerly of 17 Green St., Ashley, died Thursday night in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Straffordshire, England, Sept. 2, 1898, she was the former Leah Brough. She came to the this country in 1922 settling in Ashley where she has resided ever since. For 35 years she had been employed as the manager of the housekeeping department at the United Penn Bank. She was a member of the Centeniary United Methodist Church, Ashley.
Her husband, Edward, died in 1971.
Surviving are a son, George Wright, England; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. from the Homer E. Graham Funeral Home, 324 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Rev. Dr. Larry Saxe, officiating.
Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
