Catherine Womack, 66 of 101 Reid Street, Apt. 10, Chatham, Virginia departed this life Saturday morning May 10, 2014 at her residence.
Born January 10, 1948 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late King Womack and Annie Sue Glass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Womack and one sister, Elsie Sharpe.
She was last employed as a Teacher's Aide with the Arlington Public Schools and joined the Riceville Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Womack is survived by a son, Tony Womack (fiance', Tyesha Toliver) of Reston, Virginia; three grandchildren, Cristian Smith, Suriyah D. Womack and Cylas M. Womack; a devoted friend and "sister", Doris Jean Barbour and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday May 17, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Miller Funeral Home by Bryan Glass. Interment will follow in the Riceville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday May 16, 2014 at Miller Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Gretna.
