Herald Coaster, June 3, 1970:

Funeral services for Mrs. Luther Perkins, 67, of Rosenberg, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg, with the Rev. Leslie C. Welch officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Perkins died Sunday morning in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Luther Perkins; two daughters, Mrs. L.C. Mitchell of Houston and Mrs. W.A. Kuchar of Columbus; a son, J.L. Perkins of Rosenberg; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. A.M. Perkins of Rosenberg; and three brothers, W.A. Bear of Boling, Norman Bear of Brazoria, and S.L. Bear of Lampasas.

Pallbearers were Sid Ward, Bill Pearce, Harold Harborth, Milton Hooper, George Parker, and Joe Denton.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors.
