Side note: Susanna Knowlton Lineage
Her great-grandfather, Richard More: b. November 13, 1614 in Larden Hall, Shipton, Shropshire, England and d. between 1692-96, was the only person on the Mayflower with proven royal ancestry, although he and his siblings were put on the Mayflower as indentured servants by his father Samuel More (without the knowledge of their mother Katherine). Their father maintained they were illegitimate and he wanted to get rid of them. Katherine did not deny her relationship with Jacob Blakeway, stating there was a former betrothal contract with him, and therefore he was her true husband.
Richard, at age 6, was the only one of the children to survive in the new world and was the indentured servant of William Brewster. He resided with the Brewster family until about mid-1627 when his term of indentureship expired.[41] This is about the time that his name appears, at age 14, in a census as a member of the Brewster family, in what was called ‘New Plimouth’. By 1628, Richard More was in the employ of Pilgrim Isaac Allerton, who was engaged in trans-Atlantic trading. Under Allerton's apprenticeship, he fished in various locations around Plymouth and Maine, working as crew member and later became a Captain on the ships that supplied the new American colonies. He m. Christian Hunter (1615-1676) in 1636 in Duxbury, MA and had 8 children.

(2) Richard Hutton (1621 - 21 Jun 1713) bef. 6 Jan 1696; m. (3) John Knowlton (abt. 02 Jun 1644 - 14 Aug 1728) on 11 Apr 1714.
