Jimmie Burton Mayfield, 79, of Rand, died January 15, 1993, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness. He was born October 31, 1913, in Dayton, Tennessee, and was the son of Henry and Bertha Love Mayfield. He was a 40-year resident of Rand and a former employee of Kelley's Creek Colliery Company at Ward, WV. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife Rosa. Funeral services were held at Levi Baptist Church, Rand, with Scott Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
