Obit - Funeral Held At Local Church For C. H. Richardson

The dath of C. H. Richardson Friday evening at 9 o'clock at his home here, is mourned by a large number of friends and relatives.

He sufferd a stroke of paralysis several weeks ago while in San Antonio buying a load of produce to be delivered here. His wife, with Mr. and Mrs W. P. Anderson, went to San Antonio after him, bringing him back to his home here where he wa given every attention throughout the four weeks of his illness. He was never able to speak after he was sticken,his conditon having gradually grown worse until his death. The end came quietly and peacfully from the malady.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. L. D. Mitchell, officiating.

Trewitt Funeral Home had charge of all arrangements. Palbearers were Sam Stovall, Rev. W. A. Richardson, Ed Emmett, Thurman Hicks, Oscar Whitfield, O. T. Bacon. Flower girls were Bilie Ruth Moser and four nieces, Helen Anderson, Ruth Anderson, Lillie Faye Anderson, Margaret Owens.

Charles Henry (Blacky) Richardson was born October 12, 1880, in Clarksville, Texas. He came to Weatherford at the age of five with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Richardson. In 1918 he came to Erath County, settling in Stephenville where he opened the City Cafe later buying and operating the Depot Eating House. He was married September 29, 1920 to Miss Vada Anderson, who survives. him.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Charles Henry Richardson, Jr., three daughters, Billie Ruth, Dorothy Mae and Wanda Lee Richardson, all of the home, and his mother, Mrs. W. S. Richardson of Weatherford.

His entire family, including his aged mother, was with him in his illness and attended last rites held for him Saturday afternoon.
