Mrs. Fred G. (Laura) Martin, 74, died in Valley City early Sunday. Requiem Mass was said on Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic Church, at Marion, N.D.
She was born July 27, 1892, at Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and was married in Chicago, Ill., in May, 1917. The couple then moved to Marion where they farmed until their retirement in 1944, when they moved to Valley City. Mr. Martin died in 1947.
She is survived by three sons, Vernon and Fred both of Valley City; Cyril, St. James, Minn., one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Hawkingson, Whitier, Calid., and 18 grandchildren.
