The death of Wilbur J. Scott, which occurred at his home at Amelia at seven o'clock on Wednesday morning, Nassau County loses one of her best known citizens. He was a native of Nassau county, and a grandson of John D. Vaughan, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, whose body lies in the family cemetery near the Scott home on Amelia Island.

Mr. Scott who was in the fifty first year of his age at the time of his death is survived by his widow and two children, Miss Florida and Wilbur. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Scott, Fernandina, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Louis Goldstein, Fernandina; Mrs. H. J. McCallum, Jacksonville; Mrs. Norberta Hendricks, Fernandina; Frank Scott, St. Augustine; and Leslie Scott, Jacksonville.

Funeral services were held from the Catholic Church here Thursday morning at ten o'clock. The following acted as pallbearers: Roy Hildreth, Gus Gerbing, Al Rink, J. T. Ferreria, D. A. Kelly and A.Sallon.

The interment was in the family burial plot Bosque Bello.
