Deanna K. Huntsinger Phillips, 63, of Carl Junction, Mo., died at 10:05 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at the Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1942, in Cherokee County, to Claude V. "Jiggs" and Mildred Miklos Huntsinger.
She graduated from West Mineral High School, and later in 1997 graduated from the Nursing Department at Pittsburg State University with honors.
After graduation, she worked at Freeman Health Systems in Joplin as a nurse and later worked as a traveling nurse.
She was divorced.
Membership was held in the Christian Church at Fairland, Okla.
Survivors include two brothers, Art Huntsinger of Pittsburg and Dan Huntsinger of rural Pittsburg; two nieces and three great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Silence Phillips, her father, C.V. Huntsinger, her mother, Mildred Oberbeck, and a brother, Don Huntsinger.
Graveside services will be noon Wednesday at the Star Cemetery, west of West Mineral, with Pastor Kyle Rogers, of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow the services.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Brenner Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. Fourth St., Pittsburg.
