Mr. Bobby Ray Hale, age 80 of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born in Rockcastle County, KY on Sep. 13, 1933 the son of Homer and Sallie Hunt Hale. He retired from General Electric after 30 years as an electronics engineer technician. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his son, Kelly Hale of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Linda McClure and husband Roger of Mt. Vernon; and three grandchildren, Emily Cope, Marc Benson, and Eric Benson. In addition to his parents, Homer and Sallie Hale, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Hale; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Benson; and three brothers, Elmer, Virgil, and Billy Hale.
