Fred L. Jr., 68, retired Western Towel & Uniform manager, walked into heaven on May 25, 2014, from his earthly home surrounded by his family. He was born at home in Owensboro, KY, September 11, 1945 to Fred L. Trego, Sr. and Teresa (Nabors) Trego. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, his mother in law, Thelma Rhodes and his grandson, Joshua K. Grier. Survivors include his wife, Connie (Rhodes) Trego; sons, Jeffery Trego of Haysville, Scott (Kelly) Trego of Cheney; stepsons, Jeffrey Grier of Wisconsin, Steven Grier of Goddard; brother, William “Bill” Trego; brother-in-law, Vernon (Mabel) Rhodes; father-in-law, Marion Rhodes; and 11 grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by many for his sense of humor, positive outlook, determination, and the grace he used to deal with his lengthy illness. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 at Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church, 1515 E. Harry St., Wichita, 67211.
