Ray W. Douglas, 93, of Hastings, died Monday, January 16, 2006 at Perkins Pavilion in Hastings.
Services will be Wednesday, January 18 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial with military rites will be Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at Highland Park Cemetery, Ravenna.
Ray W. Douglas was born October 13, 1912 in Litchfield to Fred and Gertie (Duncan) Douglas. He graduated from Ravenna High School and on March 26, 1943, he married Marian M. Struble in Grand Island NE.
He served in the United States Army during WWII from 1942 until 1945. He worked for Stan Roy Feed and Supply and the Ravenna Egg Plant in Ravenna.
He moved to Hastings in 1969 and was a custodian at Hastings Elementary Schools.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings and the American Legion Club in Ravenna.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Douglas of Hastings; daughter and son-in-law, Rochelle and Robert Kieborz of Doniphan, NE; son-in-law and spouse, Dean and
Luanne Wiese of Mason City, NE; four granddaughters and one grandson; six great-grandsons; brother Earl Douglas of Ravenna and sister, Elaine Brewer of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Verda Douglas and Raelene Wiese and a brother, Henry Douglas.
