Laura Briggs was the daughter of David Briggs and Mary Elvira Sessions. She was born in Bountiful, Utah. She married Thomas Joseph Harrison on March 5, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. To this union were born three children; Merlin Briggs, Therus Briggs, David T. and Erma Elvira. She and Thomas were divorced and she then married James McKeown.She was a nurse in her early years but in later years she became and invalid, confined to a wheelchair. Jame McKeown loved her so much and cared for her so tenderly. He was her prince charming. She died on August 30, 1963 at the home of her daughter, Erma, in Burbank, Calif., at the age of 79
