Greta Bradley was the oldest of three children born to Grace and Stig Lindquist. Her father returned to Sweden when Greta was eight. Her mother continued to raise her and her two brothers(Robert and David). Greta attended Northeastern Illinois University where she got a degree in history. On August 9, 1975, Greta married John Bradley. They had three children, Robert David, Catherine Grace, and Nora Gwynne. While married to John, Greta studied to be a nurse at Truman College. She subsequently worked in labor & delivery at the University of Illinois Hospital. Greta was active with her children and attended Third Unitarian Church. She died suddenly of heart failure while vacationing in Michigan.
