Thelma Branam Bramlett, 92, wife of James Reid Bramlett, died Sunday, May 25, 2014. A native of Chattanooga, TN, Thelma was the daughter of the late Timothy & Alpha Bailey Branam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Chad David Cook, great granddaughter, Isabelle Brooke Bramlett and seven brothers and sisters that included her brother & sister in law, Lester & Willie Branam that began raising her at the age of five after her parents died.
Mrs. Bramlett was a homemaker & very active at Winterville First Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School Teacher to all ages, involvement with the Sunbeams & WMU. She taught a bible study at Winterville Retirement Home & was also active in the Beaverdam Volunteer Fire Department women's auxiliary.

Survivors include her children: Tim Bramlett of Winterville, Randy Bramlett of Winterville, Sheryl Cook of Bogart; grandchildren: Jamey Bramlett, Michelle Jackson, Kevin Cook, Janel Hall, Jason Bramlett, Justin Bramlett & three great grandchildren: Austen Justice, Savannah Justice and Reagan Bramlett. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2PM at Winterville First Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Wages, Rev. Rick Standard & Chaplain Julie Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons & grandsons in law. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank her caretakers, Missy, Cathy, Jackie, Gail, Compassionate Care Hospice & its volunteers.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Winterville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
