CHANDLER, Mary Jo, 91, a resident of Prattville, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the First Baptist Church in Prattville with Dr. Travis Coleman and Reverend Dave Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Chandler was known in the community as "The Cake Lady" and as Mama Jo to all. Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her husband, of 68 years, Chester Chandler; parents, Charles and Fannie Chandler; one sister, Nell Abney. She is survived by two daughters, Pat (J.D.) Brothers, Kathy (James) Hill; nine grandchildren, Vicki (James) Tidwell, Jay (Nikki) Brothers, Chet Brothers, Wendi Brothers, Jeremy (Ashley) Crawford, Jared Crawford, Wesley (Debra) Hill, Bill (Amy) Hill, Chris (Ashley) Hill; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Griffon Chandler, of Memphis, TN, Dixon "Tommie" Chandler, of Marktree, AR; two sisters, Deanie Autrey, of Auburn, AL, Jackie Autrey, of Montgomery, AL; one sister-in-law, Margurite Burkhalter; special friend, Martha Brannen; and many other extended family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Jay Brothers, Chet Brothers, Jeremy Crawford, Jared Crawford, Will Tidwell, and Jim Tidwell. Special thanks would like to be extended by the family to Mary Jo's caregivers, Jennifer and Amy.
