J. HOWARD HOLLINGER, 88, of 1674 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle, died Sunday, Feb. 4, in the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Sept. 8, 1901, in Antrim Township, he was a son of the late, Harry and Eliza (Sellers) Hollinger.
Mr. Hollinger was retired from Western Maryland Railroad, Hagerstown, where he worked for 38 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Greencastle.
Mr. Hollinger was also a member of the Greencastle Sportsman's Association and the JOUAM of Marion. He was also a former member of the West End Hunting Club, Greencastle.
He and his wife, A. Grace (Barnhart) Hollinger, would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in April.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, A. Isabelle Barnes and K. Lorraine Shaffer, both of; three sisters, Sarah Snider and Emma Hollingshead, both of Greencastle, and Grace Crider of State Line; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Another daughter, H. Rachael Zarger, died July 15, 1988.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the Rev. Golden Gaither officiating. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery, Kauffman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 45 N. Washington St., Greencastle, Pa 17225.
