Eliz Jane Simmons. 100, of Doe Hill died Monday morning at the home of her granddaughter. Mrs. Brooks Stone of Mt. Clinton. Mrs. Simmons was born Nov. 12, 1877 in Pendleton County. W. Va. and was a daughter of the late Henry & Lydia Margaret Propst Cayton. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Her husband, Calvin Simmons, died April 9, 1968. Surviving in addition to her granddaughter are three daughters, Hattie Mitchell of Woodbridge, Rosie Zimmerman of Staunton and Fannie Moats of Doe Hill; a son, Thomas Simmons of Monterey; 13 other grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Obaugh Funeral Home.
