Our beloved daughter, mother, sister and granddaughter Tammy passed away quietly in her home on Jan. 4, 2012.

Tammy was the first born child of Dale and Nancy Shell. She lived her entire life in Lewiston. Tammy had a little sister, Christy, who passed away as a baby and Tammy never forgot her. She loved her little sister Kim and her "Big" little brothers, Pat and Anthony.

Tammy went to St. Stanislaus Tri-Parish School, Sacajawea Junior High and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1992. Some of her dearest friends remained since the junior high school days. She loved them all.

Tammy worked for Tri-State Dialysis, then Dr. Mallot. She had last worked at Regence BlueShield of Idaho, before illness forced her to leave the job she loved. She loved all the people she worked with, and always referred to them as "my girls."

Tammy raised her only child, Taylor, by herself. She married Kip Reed, and they later separated. While together they had two "boys," their dogs Jake and Cody. She loved their camping trips at Silver Creek and Elk River. Tammy really enjoyed the outdoors, and was a fantastic cook. She loved to have her family over for dinner.

Tammy had no enemies and was a friend to all. She loved everyone she met, and always was willing to help out with whatever she could.

Tammy is survived by her son, Taylor; mother Nancy Shell; brother Pat and Gwen Shell; nephews Kian and Leighton; sister Kim and her fiancee Craig Hein; nephew Tristan; brother Anthony and Ashly Shell; nephews Peyton and Preston; and her beloved grandma, Evelyn Sheehan. She is also remembered by numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Shell; sister Christina Shell; grandfather Thomas Sheehan; and grandmother Telva Waner.

A closed-casket visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home in Lewiston. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Church, followed by a graveside service at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens.
