FRANK SHERER, AGE 60, DIES FROM PNEUMONIA
Passed away at Home On Stevens Street After Short Illness --- Funeral Wednesday

Frank H. Sherer, aged 60 years, 10 months and 27 days, passed away at his home on 1119 Stevens street, Iowa Falls, Saturday morning at 3:15 after an illness of ten days' duration from pneumonia and a complication of ailments. The deceased was for many years employed as a car inspector for the Rock Island railroad. Mr. Sherer was born at Rondout, N. Y., April 16, 1861. He left Rondout at the age of 10 years, coming to Iowa Falls with his parents, where he resided every since. He was united in marriage April 17, 1887, at Hampton to Ella Montgomery by Rev. John W. Clinton. The deceased was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Pythian Sisters, Yeomen and the carmen's union. He is survived by a widow, a son, Frank L. Sherer, of Omaha, Neb., and a daughter, Helen L. Logan of Estherville. He also leaves the following brothers and sister: Will A. Sherer, Watertown, S. D.; John H. Sherer, Hampton; Jacob Sherer, Cohoes, N. Y.; and Mrs. Louisa Byrnes, Rondout, N. Y. Henry Sherer, a brother, is deceased. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Congregational church, Rev. William Hardcastle, assisted by Rev. C. E. Cushman, officiating. Interment was made in Union cemetery. Mrs. Sherer, wife of the deceased, has been seriously ill with pneumonia and was unable to be present at the funeral.
