Floyd went to war in France leaving Erie on May 31, 1918. He worked for the General Electric Co. for many years and they lived about a mile east of Wesleyville, Pa. on Buffalo Road and then about a mile east on Station Road at least into 1955. Quit G.E. Co. several years before 1955.

He married Shirley M. Munson Zaun, a widow at marriage with 4 daughters, on Nov. 7, 1941.

Mrs. Arthur King of French Creek, N.Y., announces the marriage of her brother, Floyd Hammond to Mrs. Shirley Zaun, both of Wesleyville, Pa. The marriage occurred Friday in Erie. A reception followed in the home of Dan Munson, a cousin of the bride, for immediate families.

The book Shedding Light on the Shadows of the Past states he was buried in Lowville Cemetery. However, Pennsylvania Veterans Burial Cards list the cemetery as Erie Cemetery. Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.
