A resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He was 74 and a native of Kentwood. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, celebrated by the Rev. Francis Lonakutty. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Verna Kugler Price; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Johnnie Drago and Stephanie and Homer Baugh, all of Baton Rouge; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stanley O. Price Jr., Baton Rouge, and Shawn P. and Kimberly Tucker Price, Jacksonville, Fla.; and five grandchildren, José Ignacio, Cynthia Dianne, Logan Charles and Michael Alan Ossa, all of Baton Rouge, and Marie Graham Price, Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by a son, Logan Charles Price; a son-in-law, José Ignacio Ossa; parents, Charles Weems and Ida May Brumfield Price; and six brothers, Charles W. Jr., Kermit B., William A., Kenneth F., Douglas S. and J. Logan Price. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association of Louisiana, 3968 North Blvd., Suite 200, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
