Nettie was born May 9, 1906, in rural Montevideo to Ole E. and Inger (Haugen) Lovhaug. She grew up and attended schools in and around Montevideo.
On April 2, 1930, she married Frank Armstrong. They lived in Hinckley for many years. She lived in Willmar many years following Frank's death in 1982.
Nettie is survived by sons: Ivan and David; daughters: Nona and Dorla; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and sister, Marvel
She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, three sisters and son-in-law, Michael Nemetz.
