PERRYTON — Stacy Lee Ellis, 72, of Perryton died Friday, May 23, 2014.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church in Perryton with the Rev. Tracy Wilson and the Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Private family graveside service will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Stacy was born June 27, 1941, in Perryton to Drew and Mary Lee Ellis, and graduated from Perryton High School in 1959. She graduated from Texas Christian University in 1963 where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and Angel Flight.

Stacy lived in Guymon, Okla., from 1963 to 1990. While in Guymon, she was a member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church. Stacy moved to Perryton in 1990. where she was a member of First Christian Church and served as an elder. She was a founding member of the advisory committee of the Wheatheart satellite of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Panhandle and also served on the Beehive Board. Stacy was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Paige Waide and husband Steven of Perryton, and Jill Griffith and husband Matt of Amarillo; a son Mark Shaffer and wife Juli of Amarillo; nine grandchildren, Ellis, John and Cuyler Waide of Perryton, Sara and Lauren Shaffer, and Taylor, Ty and Trey Thomas and Zack Griffith, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Carl Ellis, and Ben Ellis; and a sister, Lindy McGarraugh.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Ranger Academic Enrichment Foundation P.O. Box 179, Perryton, TX 79070; Big Brothers Big Sisters 514 S. Main St., Perryton, TX 79070; or First Christian Church P.O Box 1244, Perryton, TX 79070.
