Charles G. Parker, 80, Ozark, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, in Cox Medical Center South.
He was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Anderson, Mo. He served his country in the US Army during World War II, and on Aug. 13, 1946, he and Pauline Gum were married.
Mr. Parker retired in 1991, from Empire District Electric as Supervisor. He had worked for the company for 50 years. Mr. Parker was an avid ham radio operator, using the code name WOULF. He attended Eastern Gate Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pauline; a daughter and son-in-law, Penny and John Coleman III, Springfield; two granddaughters, Shelby Thomas and Andrea Coleman, both of Springfield; as sister-in-law, Faye Parker, Neosho and other relatives and friends.
Two brothers, Henry and Harold, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm today in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with M. E. "Fritz" Fritzpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, east of Anderson.
