Carmen C. Jordan, 85, of Route 3, Benton, died at Franklin Hospital, at 11:35 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, 1995.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home with the Rev. Loyd Lasley officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Miss Jordan was born on Sept. 1, 1910 in Benton, the daughter of A.D. and Clara Noe Jordan.
She was a retired school teacher and had taught for over 40 years in Franklin County.
She was of the Baptist faith. A member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association, she was treasurer of that association for several years.
Survivors include one brother, Eugene M. Jordan of Grand Junction, Colorado; one cousin, Pearl Jones of Benton; several nieces and nephews.
