Death of Horace G. Goss
Horace G. Goss, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Goss died Saturday evening at the family home, 212 North Evergreen avenue after a lingering illness of more than six months. A paralytic stroke two weeks ago hastened the end, to which valvular disease of the heart contributed. Mr. Goss was born in Guda Springs, Kans , January 26th, 1884 and died Feb. 1, 1913. Funeral services were held on Monday at 4 o'clock from from the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Goss by Rev. Charles Wilson. In terment was made in Elmwood cemetery. He leaves besides his wife and children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Goss, two brothers, Dr. L. H. Goss of Osawatomle, Kenneth Goss and his sister Grace Goss both of Chanute. The family moved to Chanute about three years ago.
