Raymond Paul Burt, Sr., 65, of Cassville, PA, formerly of Blissfield, MI, "Went to be with the Lord" on December 4, 2013 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Raymond was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on September 4, 1948, a son of the late Eleanor J. (Gallant) Gardner and Raymond M. Burt. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Dunnwoody for 44 years. Mrs. Burt survives at home. He was a graduate of Montrose High School and attended Beavertown Bible Church Todd, PA, and he had also attended the Blissfield Methodist Church where he served as a layreader and youth leader. He served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of SPC-5 in the Vietnam War. His military career ended at West Point in New York. During his life he worked as a Truck Driver for Allied Carriers for 37 Years, and he was the first 21 year old to haul new cars nationally and was a member of the teamsters for 35 years. He was a member of the VFW In Blissfield, Michigan and a Boy Scout leader for troop 725 in Stockbridge, Michigan.

Raymond is survived by two sons Raymond Paul Burt Jr., husband of Lori Ann, and Aaron Andrew Burt and he is also survived by the following family: Granddaughter, Heather M. Hood, Grandson, Frank D. Hood III, Brother, Vernon "Carl" Porter, husband of Sandy, Step-Sisters, Helaine Kunzniar wife of Greg, Pam May wife of Gary, Bonnie DeSander, Step-Brother, Edward "Joe" Nygard, husband of Maryann, Brother-In-Laws, John Dunnwoody, husband of Eva, Jeff Dunnwoody, husband of Tina, Sister-In-Law, Bonnie Dunnwoody and Linda Sparks, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his Mother and Father-In-Law, Andrew N. and Virginia M. (Lukavec) Dunnwoody.

Friends were received on Tuesday, December 10, from 1-2 PM at the Beavertown Bible Church. Memorial Service were held at Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, Pennsylvania, at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 10th, with Pastor Jeffrey Knepper officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beavertown Bible Church Todd, PA 16685. Arrangements are under the direction of the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. 5010 Railroad Ave. Broad Top City, PA. 16621.
