He joined the Navy at age eighteen and served twenty-two years. He then went to work for Tracy Defense Depot for twenty-one years.
At age 78, he gave up his drivers license and would ride all over Modesto on a three wheel bicycle. He was a very kind and generous man.
He leaves behind a daughter, Billy Rae Friesen; and a son, Neal Dow; five grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
Viewing will be May 29th, 4-8pm, at Salas Brothers Funeral Home, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto with burial on May 30th, 9am at San Joaquin National Cemetery, 33053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella, California.
