Walter Awood "Buckwheat" Baker, age 67, of Warrior, died May 23, 2003. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army and also the Air Force. Retired from Mobil Oil Company after 13 years of service. He was also employed by Magic City Trucking. Suvivors include his wife of 18 years, Gracie, daughters, April, Lottie, Shirley and Kathy.
