Suggested edit: It was his brother John who died at sea with their father. Edward probably died between 1690 when his father had the title of Sr. and 1696, as stated in Doty-Doten Famly in America, p. 22. It states that he died without issue, but I found another possible source that indicates the existence of orphaned children. Not sure. Information on Edward seems unclear.
