SHREVEPORT, LA- Memorial Service for Thomas J. Seeger, 90 will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at Woodridge Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Chuck McInturf, assisted by Rev. B.J. McCurdy. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Tom was born on December 20, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA and passed away at his home on September 10, 2013. He was a retired mechanist and a member and deacon of Woodridge Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army/Air Force during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Elizabeth Seeger, 1 brother and 3 sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 69 years, Nell Peak Seeger; daughters, Tommie McNease and husband, Marvin, Judy Haralson and husband, Dave, Melody McCurdy and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Jeffrey McNease, Teresa McNease Hill, Deanna McNease Davenport, Mike Haralson, Cathy Haralson Jackson, Stephanie Haralson Gordon, B.J. McCurdy, Laura McCurdy Mallonee; 16 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law, Lee Royce Peak.
Pallbearers will be Lee Royce Peak, Jeffrey McNease, Mike Haralson, Chris Mallonee, B.J. McCurdy, Brent Jackson and Chad Gordon. Honorary pallbearers are A.T. Bunn, Buddy Cole and Perry Woods.
