ALEXANDER BLAIR BARKMAN, 20 of Roaring Spring Passed away unexpectedly on 5/20/2014 at Bedford UPMC. Born 05/18/1994 in Roaring Spring, the son of Lance and Tammy (Lamborn) Barkman. He was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. He had worked at Barkman Oil, assisted with funerals at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home and recent summer employment at Omni Bedford Springs. He was attending Penn State university Altoona. Hi interest were fishing, hunting, hiking, Singing in the Church choir, spending time with family and friends, he was a two time place winner in the Bloody Run Canoe and kayak race, was Roaring Spring Troop 57 Eagle Scout and a donor with CORE.
Survivors: His parents, and one Brother, Logan Christopher Barkman of Roaring Spring, numerous aunts uncles and cousins. Grand parents Arlen and Dolores Barkman and Merle and Phyllis Lamborn.
Friends received: 4 – 8 PM Friday the 23rd and 10-11am Saturday the 24th all a the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Where an 11am service will be held by Pastor Mark Muthler interment in the Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury. Memorials maybe made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
