Excerpt from article/obituary from "Post Crescent" of 9/28/1944, page 1:

Lieut. Ehlke is Killed in Action, Milfred Huebner and Vernon Van Dinter Also Casualties
Previously Missing

Milfred R. Huebner, 30, private first class in the United States Army, previously reported missing in action in France, was killed in action in France Aug.11, the war department informed his wife, the former Edith Schultz, who makes her home with her parents at 219 Washington avenue, Neenah. Private Huebner entered the service Dec. 11, 1942 and had been stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., Alliance, Neb., and Camp MacKall, N.C. before going overseas in June. He was in England a week before going to France. Private Huebner was employed in the Badger-Globe mill of the Kimberly-Clark corporation before entering the service. Survivors are the wife and 5 month old son, William Milfred; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Huebner, Forest Junction; one brother, Benjamin, Forest Junction; and two sisters, Grace and Rosella, at home.
