Isaac was the son of George Mouser, Sr., and Phoebe Best Mouser and the husband of Elizabeth Ann Brummel Mouser. During the Civil War Isaac served in the C.S.A. 24 th Ark., Co.F. After the war he operated a cotton gin, a grist mill and a cannery. He helped estabish a Methodist Church at Rocky Mound. He was an active lay member of that church. He was a school board member and steward of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. Isaac raised wheat, corn, cotton and cattle. Records show he applied for a Confederate veterans pension from Hempstead Co., Ar. in 1902. Later in poor health, he sold the old family homestead around 1906 and moved to Texas where he died in 1907.
When visited in April of 2002, his gravestone was toppled & broken, however, the inscription was still legible.
