ROSE, MARIA RENATA, 31, died Sunday, May 11, 2008. Maria was born December 22, 1976, in Recife, Brazil. She was the third daughter of Reginaldo Cavalcanti and Luci Cavalcanti of Recife, Brazil. She spent her childhood in Recife and attended the Colegio Santa Maria. Her family moved to Orlando in 1991. Maria graduated from Cypress Creek High School and attended the University of Florida, but transferred to and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2001 with a B.S. in Computer Science. She met her future husband, Michael William Rose, at UCF. They married May 18, 2002, and enjoyed six years together. They have one daughter, Josie Louise Rose. Maria was a loving wife and mother. Her family and her friends were the most important things in her life. She lived each day as if there was no tomorrow, and she passed that along to everyone she met. She will be remembered for her unconditional and unselfish love. In her final days, there was never a word of complaint as she struggled to hold on to the life she loved so much. She is survived by her husband, Michael, with whom she shared a special bond, and daughter, Josie, who meant the world to her; her mother Luci Cavalcanti and father Reginaldo Cavalcanti; sisters Maria Elizabeth Cavalcanti, Maria Carolina Hockman, and Maria Cinthia Cavalcanti; niece Vanessa and nephew Rafael. She will be missed by her family and friends, and her memory will live on and inspire the hearts of everyone she touched.
