Bessie Overstreet Carpenter
Services for Mrs. Carpenter, 79, of Route 3, Lebanon, will be 2 PM today at Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Hubert H. Hill officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery. A homemaker, Mrs. Carpenter died Wednesday {March 16, 1988} at Hartsville General Hospital. A Smith County native, she was affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include sons, Bridges Carpenter of Lewisburg, Haskel and James Carpenter of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and a brother, Andrew Overstreet of Nashville. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
