Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Delhi under direction of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
Mrs. Rester died Monday night at the Richland Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include her husband, W. L. Rester of Delhi; two sons, Solan [sic Solon] Rester and Billy Rester, both of Delhi; four daughters, Mrs. L. E. Demler of Bossier City, Mrs. Lavelle Stansbury of Rayville, Mrs. Douglas McKay of Bastrop and Mrs. James Williams of Baker; two brothers, Devone [sic Devon] Branch and Edward Branch of Bogalusa; two sisters, Mrs. Hollis Singley and Mrs. Martha Breeland [sic Breland], both of Bogalusa; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Eddie Stansbury, Doug McKay Jr., David Gilbert, Michael Demler, Arthur Thomas, Frank Earl Greer and Eddie Jinks.
