Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He entered the Union Navy in New York, New York. His citation reads "Served as master-at-arms on board the USS Ironclad Chickasaw, Mobile Bay (Alabama), 5 August 1864. Although his enlistment was up, Seanor volunteered for the battle of Mobile Bay, going on board the Chickawaw from the Vincennes where he carried ou his duties gallantly throughout the engagement which resulted in the capture of the rebel ram Tennessee."
