GEORGE J. HAMELIN JR.
George J. Hamelin,Jr.. 49, of
Garnsey lane, died Thursday.
October 9, at Glens Palls
hospital following a long
illness. Services ware conducted
at the convenience of
the family at the Carleton
Funeral Home. Inc., Hudson
Falls. Burial took place at St.
Paul's cemetery, town of
Kingsbury.
Born on May 13, 1943 in
Glens Falls, he was the son of
Yvonne (Gadrick) Hamelin of
Hudson Falls and the late George J. Hamelin, Sr., who
died July 15, 1980.
Mr. Hamelin attended Hudson
Falls high school. He worked
for many years in the family
business, George Hamelin Paving,
of Hudson Falls. He was
also an operating engineer with
Local 106 of Albany for 27
years and was a member of
their union. He enjoyed
boating on the Hudson River.
Survivors include his wife,
Laila (Doner) Hamelin of
Schuylerville, two sons Russell J. Hamelin of Greenwich
and Richard D. Hamelin
of Wilton; two daughters,
Dawn M. Hamelin of Greenwich
and Theresa L. Hamelin
of Hudson Falls; three stepsons,
Lance Bristol of Fort Edward,
Leslie Bristol of
Watervliet and David Bowie
Hamelin of Schuylerville; four
stepdaughters, Charmaine
Bristol of Gansevoort, Mrs John (Melanie) King of
Queensbury, Tammy Bristol of
South Glens Falls and Angel
Beth Bristol of Saratoga Springs; one brother, Joseph
Hamelin of Hudson Falls; 13
grandsons; two granddaughters.
