Emil Walter Hoffman, 1811 Westridge, died this morning at Southeast Missouri Hospial. He was 76 years old. Mr. Hoffmann was born Jan. 28, 1898, in Gasconade County. He was a lifetime resident of the Cape Girardeau area and was a truck driver for Schwab's Cities Service for 20 years. He retired in 1964. He was married to the former Miss Cora Eggimann. She preceded him in death on Feb. 13 1953.
Surviving: sons, Walter R. Hoffman, St. Louis, Marvin L. Hoffman, Paducah, Ky. and Elvin E. Hoffman, Cape Girardeau; daughter, Mrs. James Givens, St. Louis; brother, Harvey Hoffman, Jackson; sister, Mrs. Lester Busche, Cape Girardeau; and 14 grandchildren.
The body is at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau where friends may call after 7 tonight. Service will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the funeral home. The Rev. Howard Hardeman, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, of which Mr. Hoffman was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
