Stephen D. Northrop, 65, of Breckenridge Dr, died at 4:25 p.m. May 22, 2014, at Brown County Health & Living Community.
Stephen was born August 13, 1948 in Murphysboro, Illinois, the son of Stewert E. and Margaret Simpson Northrop. He married Patricia A. Brill July 8, 1978.
Stephen retired from Cummins Engine Company after 30 years of service.
He was a lay minister and enjoyed singing and spreading the gospel. He also enjoyed visiting coffee shops.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Free Methodist Church with the Pastor Jane Noblitt officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Julie Zamarripa of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Joshua Zamarripa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Paul E., David E. and Mark Northrop.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
