Marguritte E. (Herzog) Hilke was born December 11, 1913, in Paducah to George Herzog and Clara (Schoening) Herzog. She died at Renown Medical Center November 1, 2012, after a brief illness. Her family was her constant companions during her final days and was with her when she died. Her mother and father preceded her in death as well as her nine brothers and sisters.

She married Bill Hilke December 31, 1942, in San Jose, Calif., shortly before he deployed to the Pacific during World War II. They had two children, William Frederick and Carol Leigh.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and a daughter, Carol. She is survived by her son Bill (Linda) and their three children Jennifer, Aaron, and Alicia. She is also survived by Carol's three children, David, Gail and Jason. There are nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In her life, family was important. She raised her own children, Carol's children, and helped raise her great-grandchildren. She had an absolute and incredible faith in God and Jesus Christ which helped to sustain her, not only in good times but also in hard times. She will now have the peace now that she so richly deserves.
